Lake of Two Rivers
Lake of Two Rivers is the oldest and best known of the eight campgrounds. It is located 31.8 km from the West Gate. The Gates are Open from May 14th to October 12th.
But did you know:
It takes 100 Steps to get from the entrance gates (just off of Highway 60) to the office and it takes 48 steps from the office to the first campsite road turn off.
Highway 60 is very close. This information is important!
When looking at the Provincial Park Map or at the Friends of Algonquin Annual Newsletter both maps for Lake of Two River are not to scale. Highway traffic noise can be heard when camping at many of the sites.
There are 241 sites of which 160 have electrical hook ups. 1 Host Site (Volunteers who stay through the season to assist with information about Park Facilities.)
There are 27 Non-Reservable Sites. This means first come, first serve. If you have not made a reservation you can put your name on the first come first served list at the office, prior to 11:30am. This will give you a chance to pick one of the non reservable sites, if there are any available.
